Janet Cometa

Dr. Cometa grew up in Houston, Texas, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2012, followed by a rotating small animal internship in Rochester, New York. After completing her internship, she practiced both emergency and general veterinary medicine in New York City and the Denver region before moving to Las Vegas in 2020.

Dr. Cometa has a special interest in internal medicine and preventive care, with a passion for helping pets live healthier, happier lives. She values building trusting relationships with clients and their pets and believes in providing compassionate, personalized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Cometa enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, wine tasting, gardening, and exploring the outdoors through hiking and snowboarding. She also loves getting out on the water whenever she can for scuba diving and snorkeling adventures. She shares her home with her fiancé and their two fluffy cats, Oliver and Ace.
