In-House Pet Diagnostics in Henderson, NV

Our eyes and ears can only tell us so much about your pet’s overall health; we need our diagnostic tools to help us see the hidden details and put together a more complete picture of their condition. This is where our in-house testing laboratory, digital X-ray, and ultrasound equipment are most important. They can help us verify your pet’s condition. At Sunridge Animal Hospital, we regularly use our diagnostic equipment to screen for disease and infection, evaluate organ function, and more. Digital X-ray Imaging for Dogs, Cats, and Exotic Pets

X-ray is one of the most important ways for us to investigate (and possibly diagnose) issues relating to the bones, joints, abdomen, and chest cavity. Our digital technology uses far less radiation than traditional film X-ray equipment and also produces higher-quality, higher-contrast images. In addition, digital X-rays can be performed more quickly, which means less stress for your pet.

The Importance of
Our In-House Lab

While we often send blood and other samples to external laboratories for routine comprehensive screens, our in-house laboratory is highly valuable in cases where a pet is in urgent need of a diagnosis and treatment. We can perform various specific tests to rule out diseases such as parvo, heartworm, feline leukemia, and assess blood cell count, liver and kidney function, and more, and obtain results within the same day.

Why Pets Should Undergo Routine Health Screening

We recommend complete blood panels, parasite screens, and other annual tests for our patients to ensure that they are staying healthy year to year. Due to their faster metabolism and aging process, issues can spring up and progress more rapidly, and without routine lab work, these issues can turn into much larger problems that are more difficult to treat.

If your pet hasn’t received their annual testing yet this year, be sure to give us a call at (702) 896-1716!
